About the Community College
Completion Challenge
In April of 2010 leaders of six key organizations in higher education signed Democracy's Colleges Call to Action to engage all stakeholders in supporting community college completion. The Community College Completion Challenge website showcases the missions, action plans and strategies developed by each organization to involve their constituency in a joint venture to produce 5 million more associate degree and certificate holders by 2020.
The Call to Action signers pictured left to right at the signing include: Dr. Gerardo de los Santos, President and CEO of the League for Innovation in the Community College; Dr. Evelyn Waiwaiole, Director of the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD); Dr. George Boggs, President and CEO of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC); Dr. Rod Risley, Executive Director of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society; Dr. Kay M. McClenney, Director of the Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE); and J. Noah Brown, President and CEO of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT)
